This concept livery designed for the 24 Hours of Le Mans aims to boldly communicate the roots of the Toyota brand. Cherry blossoms, one of the most recognizable element of Japanese culture, have been sharpened with my illustration style to fit within a dynamic race aesthetic. The flowers are also the key element on the mechanics' crew shirt for the event.
I also reinterpreted some typographic elements of the car: the Toyota Hybrid logo has been massively redesigned to fit the sharpness of the graphic environment. The same has been done for the race number 7, used by Toyota for their endurance car. In this new configuration the glyph once rotated stands for the kanji "nana", Japanese number 7.
